Sportsnet 960 The FAN
The following playlist consists of a few of the projects and audio clips from my time with Sportsnet in Calgary. I'm super proud of the things I accomplished and learned during my internship and it's always fun to re-listen to my time live on-air.
One of the coolest projects I did was co-hosting, writing, and researching the NFL Fantasy Football Preview Show before the 2020 NFL season kicked off. Click the following button to go to Sportsnet's website to see the whole project.
Another super fun project I made was a news story on Calgary's return to play for youth hockey during the pandemic. In early Fall 2020, I interviewed the Executive Director of HockeyCalgary and a youth hockey coach in the city for insight on when kids would be playing hockey again.
The biggest project I was a part of was the 2020 NHL Draft Primer, essentially a show that previewed the 2020 NHL Draft. The Station Manager was confident enough in my co-host Carsten and I to record and produce one of the biggest shows of the year for Sportsnet 960 The FAN, so we wanted to blow them away. We received immense positive feedback from both Sportsnet employees and radio listeners and It's probably the project I'm the most proud of. To the left, I have put four separate tracks, one for each part of the show, which is divided up for each NHL division. Enjoy!
The final audio clip I have included is one of the hundreds of hourly sports updates I produced for the station throughout the summer and early fall of 2020, when sports were slightly dead because of the pandemic.

Here a few of the projects I made for CMRU.ca, which show my diverse talents in formatting audio clips for news stories, as well as storytelling and voice acting.
One news story I did was with SportCalgary for their annual All Sports 1 City event. A great way to inform Calgarians of an opportunity to socialize and get active!
Another feel good news story of the man who helps run the outdoor hockey rink in Edgemont, Calgary. It takes a lot of dedication and shows that people have good stories to tell.
This project is a radio play I wrote and voice acted for. It got some great feedback from professors and CMRU.ca listeners.
